Reports into: Creative lead, working day-to-day with the performance growth team
About The Company We are a consumer products company that grows almost entirely through performance marketing. The overwhelming majority of our spend runs on Meta, with additional volume on TikTok, AppLovin, and YouTube. Creative is our main growth lever — not targeting, not bidding. The ads themselves determine whether we scale.
About The Role This person joins our video editing team and works alongside our performance growth and creative teams to produce the video ads that run on those channels. They take raw material — UGC clips, creator footage, product footage, stills, existing winning ads — and build ads from it.This is not a brand or content role. The work is measured by performance in the ad account, not by polish for its own sake.
Who You Are The short version: an excellent video editor first, a marketer and storyteller second, and a performance-creative specialist third (which we are happy to teach).
- Are a genuinely talented editor. Strong sense of pace, rhythm, timing, cut points, sound, and visual taste.
Your work feels intentional rather than assembled.
- Think like a marketer. You understand that an ad has to stop the scroll, communicate a value proposition, and drive an action — and you can explain your edit choices in those terms.
- Can tell a story visually and narratively. Given a pile of footage and a rough direction, you can find the angle and build a narrative arc out of it.
- Work with autonomy. Our default is to hand over content and a light brief and expect strong ads back. Sometimes the brief will be detailed; often it won't be. We need someone who can piece it together and come back with a point of view, not someone who needs every frame specified.
- Communicate well and proactively. You flag blockers, gaps, and problems early rather than going quiet. You reflect issues back to the team clearly.
- Take feedback well. Our creative process is iterative and feedback-heavy by design. Feedback here is about the work, and it is constant. This person needs to receive it constructively and act on it fast.
What You'll Do
- Edit video ads for Meta (primary), TikTok, AppLovin, and YouTube, in the formats and aspect ratios each channel requires.
- Turn raw creator/UGC footage, product footage, and stills into finished, ready-to-launch ads.
- Build variations and iterations on existing winning ads — new hooks, new openings, new pacing, new framing, new angles — as part of a structured testing process.
- Work from briefs of varying detail, and independently develop the story and structure when the brief is light.
- Handle the craft layer: sound design, music selection, on-screen text and captions, color, and finishing.
- Participate in creative reviews and iterate quickly on feedback from the creative and growth teams.
Expected output cadence Our editors typically work to a cadence of two video concepts per day, delivered as either:
- four hook variations per concept, or
- two more substantial edit variations per concept.
In practice that lands between four and eight assets per day,
and the exact split varies with what the creative lead is looking for on a given batch. This is the full-time reference point; at part-time capacity the expectation scales proportionally. What we provide vs. what you own
- We provide: all footage, from our existing footage database. Access to our music and stock music libraries.
- You own: selecting and sourcing the right track for each concept, and every other craft decision inside the edit. Music and sound choice is treated as part of the editing judgment we are hiring for, not an administrative step.
Key Requirements (Non-negotiables)
- Exceptional video editing skill. This is the single most important criterion and the one we will not compromise on.
- Marketing understanding. Grasp of basic performance marketing principles — hooks, attention, value proposition, calls to action, why one edit outperforms another.
- Visual and narrative storytelling ability, demonstrable in their portfolio.
- High-level English, spoken and written. Our team is in Tel Aviv and Europe and everything runs in English. There is no room for repeated miscommunication.
- Strong communication and feedback habits. Proactive, reflective, responsive, direct.
- Ability to work with minimal direction and deliver strong output from a light brief.
- Past experience editing performance creative — paid social ads, direct response video.
Preferences — adecuado, but negotiable for the right person These describe our ideal candidate. For someone genuinely exceptional, all of them are open to discussion; we would rather find middle ground than lose the talent.
- Experience in e-commerce, DTC, or CPG consumer product brands.
- Hours flexibility, including starting the day earlier than a local standard schedule to increase overlap with Tel Aviv.
- 20 hrs/week capacity to start.
- Availability for calls and creative reviews during overlap hours.
- Experience producing ads at volume inside a structured creative testing process.
- Motion graphics and on-screen typography beyond the basics.
- Statics and carousels. Roughly 95–98% of this role is video and we have people covering static design, so this is a bonus and never a reason to screen someone out.
- Experience editing for channels beyond Meta (TikTok-native, YouTube, AppLovin).
If this opportunity sounds good to you, send us your resume!
