The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Financial Aid Verification Analyst, UNLV Financial Aid [R0153137] ROLE of the POSITION The role of the Financial Aid Verification Analyst is important both for maintaining federal compliance and for serving students. Verification is among the greatest barriers to a student’s pursuit of financial aid, and ultimately program completion, and the Financial Aid Verification Analyst facilitates this process for selected students in a timely, compliant, and compassionate manner. Approximately 75% of all UNLV students receive some form of financial aid, totaling $275 million annually.

The Financial Aid Verification

Analyst is primarily responsible for the following:

- Communicating with students about the verification process - Collecting required documents as needed - Reviewing submitted documents to ensure student Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) information is accurate, and making FAFSA corrections as needed - Relaying any impacts of verification on student financial aid packages to students, Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships (OFAS) staff, and other constituents All positions in Academic Affairs contribute to our core mission: to increase enrollment and promote equitable student success. By addressing systemic obstacles and implementing strategic services, programs, and support, this position will play a part in enhancing student enrollment, retention, successful progression, timely completion, and equitable outcomes, in order to meaningfully contribute to the institution's commitment to expand access, grow enrollment, and promote career-ready student success that leads to timely graduation. Minimum Qualifications This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and 1 – 3 years of Related Professional Experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.
