POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Temporary Senior Accountant will support payroll accounting, general ledger activities, month-end close, financial reporting, grant expense accounting, audit preparation, and process improvements. This position will work closely with the Controller, Global Hub departments, and country finance teams to maintain accurate financial records, timely reporting, and strong internal controls.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & DUTIES:
Payroll Accounting
Import payroll journal entries into the accounting system (NetSuite)
Reconcile payroll activity, deductions, and related liability accounts.
Investigate and resolve payroll accounting discrepancies.
Serve as a finance contact for payroll accounting and reporting matters.
Maintain internal controls over payroll accounting and general accounting processes.
General Ledger and Month-End Close
Prepare and post journal entries into the accounting system (NetSuite).
Complete general ledger and balance sheet account reconciliations.
Analyze and resolve accounting variances and unusual balances.
Maintain accurate, complete,



and properly supported financial records.
Manage fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and vacation accruals.
Record financial transactions using appropriate classifications, coding, and documentation.
Financial Reporting and Analysis
Assist with monthly and annual financial statements preparation. (U.S. GAAP knowledge is preferred)
Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts and income statement activity
Support monthly budget-to-vigente variance analysis.
Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested.
Audit, Systems, and Process Support
Support the preparation of schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for the annual external audit.
Assist with maintaining and documenting accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Provide backup support for accounts payable, employee-expense reporting, and daily bank reporting.
