Software Engineer (Vitess) at BairesDev

As a Software Engineer specializing in Vitess, you will be responsible for horizontally scaling MySQL databases to handle massive workloads. You will play a key role in architecting and managing complex database topologies, ensuring high availability and performance through advanced sharding and query routing strategies.

What You'll Do

- Design and implement Vitess-based solutions to horizontally scale MySQL deployments across the enterprise.

- Manage database sharding, topology, and query routing to optimize performance for large-scale applications.

- Deploy and orchestrate Vitess components within Kubernetes environments to ensure seamless scalability.

- Monitor and tune database performance to maintain system reliability, low latency,



and efficient resource utilization.

- Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to define database standards, schema designs, and scaling requirements.

What We Are Looking For

- 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Database Engineering, or Distributed Systems.

- Proven expertise in horizontally scaling MySQL deployments using Vitess.

- Hands-on experience with database sharding, topology management, and query routing.

- Proficiency in managing and deploying large-scale database clusters within Kubernetes.

- Advanced proficiency in English.
