Role Description The Startup Engineer – OHV is a full-time, on-site role based Arequipa Peru. This role is responsible for supporting the commissioning and startup of off-highway vehicle (OHV) systems and equipment, including preparing test plans, performing functional checks, and documenting results. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize system performance, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Day-to-day activities include reviewing engineering drawings and specifications, coordinating with project managers and field technicians, and providing technical support during installation and startup. The role also involves maintaining accurate project records, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives,



and supporting customer training and handover activities.

Qualifications

- Relevant experience in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering for heavy equipment, off-highway vehicles.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and schematics, and apply them during installation and startup.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with experience in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, or control system issues.
- Knowledge of safety standards and quality procedures in industrial or transportation environments, with a commitment to safe work practices.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with field teams, project managers, and customers in on-site settings. All reports and meeting are mainly in English, therefore candidate must have written and spoken English mid - advance level.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical) or Technical Degree in Electronics Mechanical or Electromechanical (+ 5 year experince).
- Willingness to work on-site (Mines) and mainly support field activities outside standard hours as project needs require.
- Experience with data collection, testing, and reporting tools; familiarity with PLCs or control systems is required.
- Previous experience in rail or mining sectors is required.
