Role Description

The Director, Portfolio Management is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing the organization’s portfolio of programs and projects to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets. This role manages the end-to-end portfolio lifecycle, including intake, evaluation, prioritization, and performance monitoring. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing portfolio data, assessing risks and dependencies, preparing executive reports, and making recommendations on resource allocation and investment decisions. The director collaborates with program and project managers, finance partners, and senior leadership to optimize portfolio outcomes, resolve issues, and maintain governance standards. This role also leads continuous improvement of portfolio management processes, tools, and metrics, while mentoring team members and promoting best practices.

Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and support evidence-based decisions.




- Demonstrated experience in project portfolio management and portfolio management, with a track record of overseeing multi-project environments.
- Proficiency in program management, including planning, execution oversight, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Solid understanding of finance principles, budgeting, and financial analysis related to project and portfolio investments.
- Experience using portfolio management tools and dashboards (e.g., PPM software, reporting platforms) and advanced Excel or similar tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders and cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
- Proven leadership abilities, including influencing without direct authority, coaching team members, and driving organizational change.
