Are you experienced in Amazon Redshift and AWS data platforms and looking for an opportunity to work in a global, cloud-focused environment?

At NTT DATA, we are looking for a Semi-Senior AWS Redshift Database / Data Platform Administrator to manage and optimize business-critical analytical platforms while collaborating with Data Engineering, Analytics, Cloud, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity teams.

? Location: Peru – Nationwide | Preference for Trujillo or Arequipa

? What you’ll do

You will help ensure the availability, performance, security, data protection, and operational continuity of Amazon Redshift and related AWS data services.

Your responsibilities will include

- Administering, monitoring, maintaining, and supporting Amazon Redshift production environments.
- Managing clusters, databases, schemas, users, roles, permissions, and security configurations.
- Performing daily health, availability, performance, security, and capacity checks.
- Analyzing and optimizing SQL queries and analytical workloads.
- Optimizing distribution, sort strategies, statistics, storage, and resource utilization.
- Managing and optimizing Workload Management (WLM) and concurrency.
- Implementing and validating snapshots, restore, and data recovery strategies.
- Supporting High Availability and Disaster Recovery requirements.
- Managing access through AWS IAM and Redshift security mechanisms following least-privilege principles.
- Managing privileged credentials through CyberArk or equivalent PAM solutions when applicable.
- Ensuring appropriate encryption for data at rest and in transit.
- Participating in security patching, vulnerability assessments, and remediation activities.
- Monitoring Redshift and related AWS services using Amazon CloudWatch and enterprise observability tools.
- Performing proactive capacity planning and workload growth analysis.
- Supporting database refreshes, data extraction, loading, purging,



and other data movement activities.
- Collaborating with Data Engineering teams on ETL/ELT processes and Redshift integrations.
- Troubleshooting performance, connectivity, permissions, workloads, storage, and availability issues.
- Supporting AWS networking components, including VPC, Security Groups, endpoints, DNS, and SSL/TLS.
- Developing automation using SQL, Python, and/or Bash.
- Implementing database infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
- Using GitHub and/or Bitbucket for version control of scripts, configurations, and IaC.
- Participating in CI/CD processes for database and data platform changes.
- Maintaining technical documentation, inventories, standards, configurations, and procedures.
- Participating in Incident, Problem, Change, Security, and Disaster Recovery Management processes.
- Evaluating new AWS database and data platform capabilities.
- Participating in on-call support rotations when required.

? What we’re looking for

✔ 3–5+ years of professional experience in database administration and/or cloud data platforms, including relevant hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift.

✔ Experience administering and supporting Amazon Redshift in production environments.

✔ Strong SQL skills.

✔ Experience with query and workload performance tuning.

✔ Solid understanding of Amazon Redshift architecture, configuration, and administration.

✔ Experience managing users, roles, permissions, and database security.

✔ Practical knowledge of AWS IAM.

✔ Experience with Amazon CloudWatch and AWS monitoring tools.

✔ Experience with snapshots, restore, and data recovery mechanisms.

✔ Knowledge of AWS networking, including VPC, Security Groups, DNS, endpoints, and SSL/TLS.

✔ Experience working with ETL/ELT and data ingestion processes.

✔ Experience using Python and/or Bash for automation.

✔ Hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.

✔ Familiarity with GitHub, Bitbucket, or equivalent code repositories.

✔ Knowledge of CI/CD processes.





✔ Experience with ticketing and Change Management tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or equivalent platforms.

✔ Advanced written and spoken English is mandatory, with the ability to hold technical conversations, manage incidents, participate in meetings, and prepare documentation in a US corporate environment.

- AWS RDS and other AWS managed database services
- AWS Multi-AZ and read replica configurations
- Amazon S3 and Redshift integrations
- AWS Glue and related data integration services
- Datadog or other enterprise observability platforms
- CyberArk or other Privileged Access Management solutions
- Enterprise Data Warehousing experience
- AWS certifications related to Database, Data, or Solutions Architecture

You should be comfortable taking ownership of operational activities, analyzing complex analytical workloads, and balancing production incidents, performance optimization, maintenance, security, and project initiatives.

The ability to collaborate effectively with Data Engineering, Analytics, Cloud, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity teams in a distributed and multicultural environment will be key to success.
