Role Description

The Safety Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area, supporting a safe and compliant environment across UNLV’s campus facilities. This position is responsible for implementing and monitoring health and safety programs,



conducting routine inspections, and assisting with Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives. Day-to-day activities include identifying hazards, recommending corrective actions, coordinating and delivering safety training, and maintaining safety-related documentation and records. The Safety Specialist will also conduct accident and incident investigations, prepare reports, and collaborate with departments to promote a proactive safety culture. The role involves working closely with faculty, staff, students, and external regulatory agencies to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and university policies.

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Health & Safety, Occupational Health, and Environment Health and Safety (EHS) program implementation.
