DiverseGOV is seeking a dependable, highly organized, and detail-oriented Legal Clerk to support the Fact Witness coordination on assignment to a federal contract with the Department of Justice at the U.S. Attorney's Office in Las Vegas, IN. This is a full-time federal contract support opportunity for a professional who is comfortable working in a legal or government office environment and can handle sensitive information with discretion.
In this role, you will support witnesses before, during, and after federal court proceedings, grand jury appearances, hearings, and pre-trial conferences. You will coordinate travel and lodging, process witness reimbursement documentation, maintain witness files and tracking spreadsheets, communicate with witnesses and government personnel, and provide professional courtroom orientation and logistical support.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate witness appearances for trials, hearings, pre-trial conferences, and grand jury proceedings.
- Contact witnesses to confirm appearance dates, travel arrangements, lodging needs, and reimbursement requirements.




- Prepare and process witness vouchers, travel documentation, authorizations, and related reimbursement records.
- Maintain witness files, schedules, calendars, Excel tracking workbooks, databases, and case-related administrative records.
- Meet witnesses upon arrival, provide courtroom orientation, accompany witnesses to designated areas, and help ensure safe waiting areas are available.
- Communicate professionally with Assistant United States Attorneys, court personnel, law enforcement partners, the U.S. Marshals Service, Probation, Pretrial Services, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare weekly activity reports documenting daily tasks completed and program-related activity.
