Role Description
The Network Historia is a part-time remote role responsible for documenting, analyzing, and maintaining the historical records of Tiaki Wai’s network infrastructure. This role involves tracking changes to network configurations, cataloging incidents and resolutions, and maintaining clear documentation of architecture, security measures, and performance trends. The Network Historia collaborates with technical teams to interpret network events, create reports, and recommend improvements based on historical data. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing logs and tickets, updating diagrams and documentation, organizing archives, and contributing to best practices for network governance and knowledge sharing. The role requires consistent communication with network administrators and stakeholders to ensure that historical insights inform current and future network decisions.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Networking and Network Administration for understanding and documenting network infrastructure.
- Experience with Troubleshooting and Network Security to interpret incidents, risks, and remediation steps.
- Knowledge of Network Design to capture and explain topology, architecture changes, and system evolution.
- Strong written communication skills for clear technical documentation and report writing.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and coordinate with distributed teams.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining accurate records and structured archives.
- Familiarity with common networking tools, ticketing systems, and documentation platforms.
- Relevant education or certifications in information technology, computer networking, or a related field are beneficial.
