ROLE of the POSITION

Supervised by the Risk Manager and trained by the Risk Management and Insurance Administrator,



the Risk Management Coordinator safeguards university operations and assets by administering risk programs, facilitating claims, supporting legal investigations, and advancing safety strategies.
- Claims Management & Subrogation: Administer routine property, auto, liability, and workers' compensation claims across their full life cycle from initiation to resolution. Serve as the primary point of contact for claims guidance and actively pursue subrogation recovery.
- Investigations & Stakeholder Liaison: Gather critical documentation to support tort investigations, collaborating closely with campus partners, UNLV General Counsel, and the Attorney General’s Office and the University Police Department.
- Fleet & Equipment Oversight: Manage the UNLV fleet insurance and movable equipment schedule to ensure appropriate coverage, maintain accuracy, and prevent excess premium charges.
