The Role: Fabrication Specialist
The Fabrication Specialist designs and builds custom metal and wood components that support Production and other Switch teams. This role responds to fabrication requests, develops practical solutions, and completes work that meets Switch standards for quality, safety, and cleanliness.
You will work independently on custom fabrication projects and support the Production team when needed to meet customer installation schedules. This is a hands‑on role that requires sound judgment, mechanical aptitude, and consistent attention to detail.
What You’ll Do
- Review and respond to custom fabrication requests from Production and other internal teams.
- Design practical fabrication solutions based on project needs, drawings, measurements, and field conditions.
- Fabricate custom metal and wood components using appropriate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding in accordance with safety and quality requirements.
