The Team

We are seeking an experienced IT Category Manager to join American Tower's Supply Chain team. The team strategically sources quality materials, services, and technologies at the lowest total cost while enabling effective and efficient purchasing solutions and enhancing supplier partnerships. You will play a critical role in managing IT sourcing strategies supplier relationships, and contract negotiations for key IT categories. The IT Category Manager will deliver cost-effective, high-quality solutions to support our IT organization’s mission of leading the industry.

What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in Engineering, Business, or Supply Management preferred.
- Between 6-8 years of progressive experience in sourcing/procurement in a supply chain or strategic sourcing team required.
- Experience supporting supplier relationships and managing assigned engagements within established contracts.
- Intermediate skill level with MS Office Suite and advanced skill level with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint required.




- Experience with procurement platforms (e.g., Oracle, Salesforce).
- Experience supporting negotiations and contributing to value creation in supplier engagements.
- Professional certifications strongly preferred (Certified Property Manager, Certified Professional in Supply Management, or Certified in Planning and Inventory Management).
- Approximately 5% travel may be required to support the position’s responsibilities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
