Role Description
The Senior Mobile App Developer will design, develop, and maintain mobile applications that support global health research, training, and program delivery. This part-time hybrid role is based in Abu Dhabi, with a combination of on-site work and some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing new features, optimizing app performance, integrating apps with back-end systems and databases, and ensuring usability and accessibility across devices. The role also involves collaborating with researchers and project teams to translate public health requirements into technical solutions, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining documentation and version control. The developer will contribute to application security, data integrity, and continuous improvement of digital tools used in regional and international projects.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Software Development and Programming skills, with experience in mobile app frameworks and languages (e.g., Swift, Kotlin, React Native, Flutter).




- Candidates should possess Databases and Integration skills, including working with APIs, cloud services, and data storage solutions relevant to mobile applications.
- Candidates should possess Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and related front-end skills to create responsive, user-friendly interfaces and consistent visual design.
- Candidates should possess experience in application testing, debugging, and performance optimization for mobile platforms.
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in mobile development.
- Ability to work independently, manage part-time hours effectively, and collaborate with multidisciplinary general health teams in a hybrid work environment.
- Experience in healthcare, public health, or research settings, and familiarity with data privacy and security best practices, is an advantage.
