Job summary

CACEIS Malaysia has been a cornerstone of asset servicing since 2008, evolving into a trusted hub of operational excellence within the integral CACEIS network. The Director – Risks & Permanent Controls is accountable for providing independent and objective oversight of operational risks from the businesses in Malaysia. The role ensures the implementation of the operational risk framework, fosters sound risk management practices, and oversees the Client Portfolio Compliance team.

Responsibilities
- Apply, maintain and develop the Operational Risk and Resilience Management Framework in collaboration with the CACEIS central Risk function.
- Provide oversight to CACEIS Malaysia and ensure alignment with the Operational Risk & Resilience Management Framework.
- Lead or participate in Malaysian Entity risk governance bodies (local risk committee,



local business committees).
- Review material and sensitive internal operational risk events and associated action plans, producing deep‑dive reports for material incidents.
- Actively participate in business initiatives and projects to identify future and emerging risks.
- Coordinate the completion of operational risk scenarios.
- Ensure compliance with current and emerging risk regulations from serviced locations.
- Review and implement control plans within the PCAT tool, preparing action plans for any unsatisfactory results.
- Monitor and assess country risk, preparing reports for local EXCO and board meetings.
- Prepare and manage the budget of the allocated cost centre.
- Enhance the operational risk management framework to address emerging risks such as cybercrime, data theft, and IT stability.
- Strengthen coordination with all control functions locally and at the CACEIS Group level.
