Overview
Established in 1901, Lauriston Girls’ School has a long-standing reputation for academic excellence, educational innovation, and a deep commitment to empowering young women. We are seeking expressions of interest from Sports Coaches who are interested in joining our team on a casual basis.
GSV training sessions take place on Monday – Friday 6:30am-8:00am, with matches on Monday – Friday 3:00pm – 6:00pm. In addition, some sports require training and matches outside of these hours with some weekend commitments at times.
The Lauriston Basketball Club and Lauriston Netball Club matches are played on Saturdays across varying time slots.
Please note, training sessions and game days may not always take place at Lauriston and you will need to be able to travel from various locations.




Sports may include but are not limited to:
- AFL
- Badminton
- Basketball
- Track and Field (in particular sprints, jumps and throws)
- Swimming
- Tennis
- Touch Football
- Soccer
- Hockey
- Netball

Primary responsibilities
- Bring coaching and game play experience and knowledge to your preferred sport
- Develop skills, decision making, leadership and teamwork capabilities and support their specific needs and goals
- Teach students the fundamentals of sport in a fun, inclusive, and engaging environment
- Plan and organise training sessions in consultation with the wider coaching team
- Ensure adherence to the School’s Child Safety Code of Conduct, including the Child Safe Standards, and demonstrate behaviours in accordance with these

Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in preferred sport and have played at Club, Association or similar level
- Relevant coaching experience and/or a Level 1 c
