Title: Consumer Electronics Industrial Designer

Company: Amazon's Ring

Duration: 12 months + expected until at least 2027, potential to convert full time

Locations: 95% REMOTE, based out of LA (Hawthorne), Orange County, or SF(Sunnyvale)

Interviews: 2 rounds

Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of professional experience in industrial design roles.
- Exceptional 2D visualization skills, including sketching, storyboarding, and digital rendering.
- Advanced 3D CAD modeling and visualization skills, capable of developing technically viable and compelling design solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal design teams, crossfunctional product development teams,



and suppliers.
- A portfolio demonstrating a user-centric design process, showcasing successful products from concept to production.
- Excellent storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate a user-centered design perspective effectively.
- Deep understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and DFM & DFA considerations to ensure efficient and scalable production.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Proven ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships, effectively communicating design concepts and delivering high-quality designs under tight deadlines.
- Comprehensive prototyping skills, ranging from quick foam models to complex functional learning prototypes.
- Strong track record of collaboration with engineering and product marketing teams, ensuring successful product launches.
- Experience in consumer electronics design and/or camera device design is a plus.
