We are seeking a highly motivated Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support a variety of Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Navy (DoN) Communications and GPS Navigation programs. The idóneo candidate will bring deep expertise in MBSE methodologies, tools (such as Cameo/MagicDraw), and DoD acquisition processes to develop and maintain digital system models throughout the system lifecycle. This role requires the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, customers, and stakeholders to ensure system design integrity and compliance with government standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain system architecture models using SysML and MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo/MagicDraw, Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect)
- Facilitate the development of Black Box and White Box models in accordance with DoD and NAVWAR standards




- Work closely with program engineering teams to develop questionnaires to identify what data is available for each program that can feed into a model, then help match programs with the appropriate MBSE automation tool(s) and enter data into the appropriate MBSE tool.
- Integrate MBSE approaches with traditional systems engineering practices and digital engineering frameworks
- Translate stakeholder requirements into system models and technical specifications
- Participate in or lead technical reviews, model-based design efforts, and system verification/validation planning
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and integration teams to align models with implementation and testing
- Support DoD acquisition documentation and milestone reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR)
- Ensure models comply with DoD standards (e.g., DoDAF, UAF, MIL-STD-881, NIST 800-160 Vol 1/2)
- Prepare technical documentation and present modeling results to stakeholders, including go
