About the role Figure is building general purpose humanoid robots to address labor shortages and automate hazardous or repetitive tasks. We are hiring a Supplier Quality Engineer based in Asia to oversee our regional supply chain quality standards.

What you'll do
- Qualify new vendors and establish comprehensive quality management plans.
- Track supplier performance data and lead initiatives to improve quality outcomes.
- Validate inspection documentation, including First Article Inspection, outgoing quality control, and in-process reports.
- Conduct on-site quality audits at supplier facilities.
- Provide technical feedback on Design for Manufacturing and inspection strategies.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes to resolve quality defects.
- Act as the primary bridge between our headquarters and regional suppliers to ensure clear communication on quality requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role.
- Professional fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD files.
- Expertise in GD&T; standards ASME Y14.5-2009 or ASME Y14.5-2018.
- Mastery of C=0 sampling plans and ASQ Z1.4/MIL-STD-105 standards.
- Proficiency with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, digital height gauges, and thread gauges.
- Experience with injection molding, die casting, and stamping processes.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Nice to have
- Professional certifications including ASQ CQE, CQM, CRE, or CQA.
- Background in the robotics or high-tech manufacturing sectors.
- Familiarity with industrial engineering principles and quality management systems.
- Experience with PCBA, wire harness assemblies, cables, and textiles.
