About LandscapeAlliance: Landscape Alliance is the operating name of the Center forInternational Forestry Research (CIFOR) and the International Centre forResearch on Agroforestry (ICRAF).

Aboutthe position: The position will workclosely with the Latin America Communications Coordinator and the Peru andLatin America research teams to ensure timely, high-quality and impactfulcommunications that effectively translate science and project outcomes fordiverse audiences. The role will also coordinate with the general Social MediaCoordinator, outreach peers in Africa and Asia, and project leaders across theregion to plan, adapt, translate and implement communications strategies thatenhance visibility, stakeholder engagement and measurable impact for LandscapeAlliance and its projects. This position will be based in Lima, Peru.
Keyresponsibilities
- Manage editorial planning and contentdevelopment for the Los Bosques al Día portal, including identifying opportunitiesfor translation, original content production, story pitching, and supportingthe outreach team in achieving annual outreach goals.
- Strategically manage social media channels byplanning and producing content, visuals, campaigns, paid content and innovativeoutreach approaches that drive audience growth, visibility and engagement.
- Support research teams in documenting andcommunicating activities, results, contributions and impact through strategiccommunications and outreach products.
- Cover events, conferences and institutionalactivities involving Landscape Alliance teams, translating key discussions andoutcomes into dissemination and engagement products.
- Produce newsletters, presentations and othercorporate communication materials in Spanish.
- Coordinate and liaise with the COE productionteam to support the development and delivery of knowledge and communicationsproducts.
- Prepare quarterly reports on communicationsperformance, analytics and achievements, and propose strategic improvements andinnovations.
Requirements Whatare we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in communications orjournalism or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 6 years of experienceworking in communications for development.
- Languages: Full professional proficiency inSpanish; working knowledge of English.
- Desirable: Familiar with forestry, agroforestry,and environmental matters and initiatives. Familiar with scientificcommunication. Whatare we offering?
