What you'll do

- Design and execute the physical layout of equipment within data halls, focusing on network pathways and the overall configuration of systems.
- Create and implement a secure management network for out-of-band access, which includes functionalities such as BMC, IPMI, and Redfish.
- Work closely with data center providers and hardware vendors to facilitate server deployment, establish network connections, and provide on-site assistance.
- Develop automated workflows for the swift installation of operating systems on new hardware.
- Set up and maintain production-ready, self-hosted Kubernetes environments, incorporating essential components like Cilium and GitOps tools.
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of Kubernetes clusters, which includes updates, scaling, node maintenance, and resolving incidents.
- Document operational processes, generate runbooks, and conduct post-incident analyses, while also being part of a 24x7 on-call rotation.
- Establish connectivity between our data centers and public cloud platforms using VPNs,



direct connections, or peering methods.
- Prepare the infrastructure to handle large-scale GPU and VM workloads in conjunction with containerized applications.

Requirements

- At least 5 years of experience in data center, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
- Demonstrated capability in constructing physical data center infrastructure from scratch, which includes rack design, network setup, server configuration, and vendor management.
- Hands‑on experience in designing and managing out-of-band management networks (BMC, IPMI, Redfish).
- Proven track record in deploying and managing self-hosted Kubernetes clusters in a production environment, with skills to troubleshoot cluster-level challenges.
- Strong expertise in Linux system administration and performance tuning, covering aspects such as kernel, networking, and storage.
- Familiarity with bare‑metal automation tools like MAAS, Tinkerbell, or Cluster API.
- Proficient in infrastructure as code tools, including Terraform and Ansible, and skilled in at least one scripting language (Python, Go, or Bash).
- Knowledge of Cisco networking principles and configurations, including VLAN, LACP/LAG, BGP, and ACLs.
- Experience in configuring Palo Alto firewalls.




- Familiarity with enterprise storage solutions from providers like NetApp, Dell EMC, or Pure Storage.
- Proficiency in either English or Mandarin.

Nice to have

- Experience with high‑density racks (30kW+) and advanced networking technologies (400G+).
- Knowledge of immutable operating systems such as Talos Linux, Flatcar, or Bottlerocket.
- Proficiency in both AWS and GCP, including experience with cross‑cloud data migration strategies.
- Background in constructing storage clusters or handling big data/offline data processing clusters.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies like KubeVirt.
- Exposure to NVIDIA GPU Operator and Kubernetes GPU workloads.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) credentials.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification.
- Professional‑level proficiency in the Japanese language.
