Human Resources Senior Associate — IMAGO Integral Grassroots (Remote, Global)

Our Client IMAGO Global Grassroots has spent over a decade closing the "missing middle" of international development — building the capacity of grassroots organizations and social entrepreneurs across the US, Latin America, India, and Africa. Now we're looking for someone to build something equally foundational inside our own organization: a global HR function, from the ground up.

This isn't a maintenance role. You'll be the architect of how our people are hired, developed, supported, and retained — designing the policies and systems that don't fully exist yet, while keeping the org running day to day. Your focus will be organizational development, performance management, recruitment and selection, and employment/contractual matters — always working close to the teams you support, not from behind a policy binder.

What you'll own:

• Organizational development: culture-building, staff engagement, and capability-building initiatives as we grow




• Lead full-cycle recruitment processes for headquarters and support international hiring efforts in coordination with country teams
• Manage onboarding and offboarding procedures, ensuring consistency, compliance, and a positive employee experience
• Develop and oversee performance management frameworks, including goal-setting, appraisal cycles, and professional development plans
• Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and legal compliance across jurisdictions
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, grievance procedures, and disciplinary processes
• Employment and contractual matters: employee handbooks and compliance with labor law across our countries of operation
• Direct, ongoing support to our teams — a real point of contact for HR questions, not a distant back office

What you bring (required):

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a global/inte
