Core Responsibilities
- Safe operation and proper use of the Yard Truck while moving trailers to and from loading docks.
- Ability to safely navigate in tight spaces.
- Forklift certified or able to be certified, to move products on CHEP Pallets onto and off trailers and into storage racks.
- Preform daily inspection of equipment, timely reporting of any issues to management, preventive maintenance.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of trailer movement and condition.
- Communicate and coordinate with truck drivers, staff and management to ensure smooth and safe operation.
- Able to climb in and out of vehicles and other material handling equipment frequently.
- Open to working in various outdoor climates.
- The ability to work a second shift schedule with an extended schedule at times (vacations) and on short notice (call out).
