Overview

Casual Crisis Intervention Specialists are needed to join Stepping Stones Crisis Society. Casual staff pick up shifts on short notice and provide scheduled coverage for morning, evening, and overnight shifts.

Duties

- Provide crisis intervention, advocacy, and support to women and children in shelter.
- Admit, discharge, and complete intakes and assessments for clients.
- Support a variety of programs including frontline services, child development, and outreach.
- Provide information, referrals, and community resources to clients.
- Transport clients to appointments when necessary.
- Complete documentation and maintain confidentiality.
- Assist with program activities and general duties such as cleaning, cooking, and laundry.

Qualifications





- Have post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Have 1–3 years’ experience in crisis intervention or a similar role.
- Be compassionate, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess strong communication and computer skills.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Hold current First Aid/CPR (ASIST and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention an asset).
- Have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and clear Criminal & Child Intervention Checks.
