Role Description
The Portuguese Teacher at SBARLEK is a full-time, on-site position based in Arequipa. The role involves planning and delivering engaging Portuguese lessons for learners at different proficiency levels, using a variety of teaching methods and materials. The teacher will assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt lesson plans to meet individual and group learning needs. Daily responsibilities include preparing instructional resources, maintaining accurate records of attendance and performance, and collaborating with colleagues to improve the curriculum and learning experience. The role also involves supporting learners with questions, fostering a positive classroom environment, and participating in school meetings, trainings, and events.

Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written expression and active listening.




- Background in Education with experience designing lesson plans and learning activities.
- Demonstrated Teaching experience, preferably in language or classroom settings.
- Customer Service skills to provide supportive, responsive assistance to learners and families.
- Language Teaching expertise in Portuguese, with the ability to teach different proficiency levels.
- Fluency in Portuguese; proficiency in Spanish and/or English is an advantage.
- Relevant degree or certification in Education, Languages, or related field preferred.
- Ability to manage a classroom, use educational technology, and maintain an inclusive learning environment.
- Organizational skills, reliability, and a collaborative approach to working with staff and learners.
