Principal Engineer Position
The Principal Engineer at Outcode Software plays a critical leadership role in shaping and maintaining the technical direction across assigned projects. This position requires deep expertise in software development methodologies, hands-on experience with a wide range of technologies, and the ability to influence and drive organization-wide best practices.
The Principal Engineer collaborates closely with the Director of Engineering to ensure all teams follow established best practices and have access to the resources and training necessary for success. Beyond defining and enforcing best practices, the Principal Engineer is actively involved in leading project execution, engaging directly with clients, mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and contributing to the overall strategy and direction of the company.
They are responsible for fostering a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and collaboration across engineering teams,



while ensuring that every project they oversee is delivered successfully and meets client expectations.

Project Leadership & Client Engagement
The Principal Engineer takes ownership of project execution end-to-end, acting as the technical anchor for both the team and the client throughout the engagement.
Project Leadership: Lead assigned projects from inception through delivery, ensuring scope, quality, and timelines are consistently met and that work is delivered on-time and on-budget.
Client Engagement: Serve as a primary point of contact with the client, maintaining clear, proactive, and transparent communication around progress, risks, trade-offs, and decisions.
Agile Rituals: Drive and participate in agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, refinements, planning, retrospectives, and reviews), ensuring the team operates with discipline and predictability.
Pull Request Reviews: Perform thorough and timely reviews of pull requests, providing actionable feed
