- Casual positions available About the Role Beatty Park Leisure Centre is looking for competent and motivated Lifeguards to join our close‑knit customer‑focused team.

Key Duties - Public safety: supervise public use of the facility, attend to any first aid cases, conduct water tests and attend regular in‑service training sessions.

- Programming: set up and dismantle, as well as ensure safety and security, of equipment for programs.
- Customer Service: Provide a high level of internal and external customer service and comply with the Council’s Customer Service Charter.
- Workplace Health and Safety: ensure that work area is maintained in a safe, clean, and tidy condition, so that risk of accidents occurring is reduced to a minimum and exercise a duty of care regarding own safety and that of others.

Qualifications - A strong swimmer with the fitness ability to endure real and/or test ‘rescue’ swims.

- Previous experience working in a leisure centre environment is highly regarded.
- Pool Lifeguard Award or equivalent.
- Provide First Aid Certificate.
- Resuscitation Certificate and Oxygen Training (desirable).
- A Pool Management Certificate will be highly regarded but is not essential.

Requirements Successful candidates will be available to work a range of shifts including weekends.
