Overview
The Director of National Programs leads the Native English Program for the Maximo Nivel institute in Cusco, Peru.
The National Director is responsible for sales, marketing, client service, class scheduling, diagnostic testing, and matriculation, and manages a team of 3‐5 office staff.
A major component of the position is managing the front office ("store") and daily logistics such as opening, closing, cash handling, and selling English classes, while generating excitement for client service and meeting matriculation goals each month.
Responsibilities
Manage front office operations, cash handling, and daily logistics.
Generate excitement within the National Programs Team and client base to meet matriculation goals each month.
Work directly with individuals to matriculate them into the Native English Program.
Sell group programs to hotels, banks, restaurants, tour operators, and other businesses.
Collaborate closely with the Academic Director on client service, class scheduling, and maximizing matriculations.
Work with the Executive Team, Country Manager, and Director of International Programs.
Generate regular reports using Microsoft Word and Excel (daily cash box, matriculation per class, monthly class schedule, book inventory, etc.).
Set and enforce policies such as Matriculation After Exam, use of original textbooks, greeting hours, and pulling non‐paying clients from classes.
Follow specified working hours, with flexibility for additional duties as business demands.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree preferred)
TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA Certification preferred
Fluent English; Advanced Spanish required
3‐5 years professional experience, ideally in sales or client service environment
Outstanding administrative and organizational skills; exceptional attention to detail
Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Strong team skills and a love for team training; ready to lead and manage a cross‐cultural team.
Excellent interpersonal and writing skills.
Focused on results— increasing matriculations and delivering great client service.
Adept at setting goals and managing competing priorities.
Own the National Programs area.
Metric‐driven; able to understand, analyze, and present data to support business decisions.
