About the Role

A growing electrical services provider is seeking a skilled Commercial Electrical Estimator to join its Las Vegas office. This position is idóneo for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the estimating process from start to finish, building strong relationships with general contractors, managing bids, and contributing to the company’s continued growth.

With a strong portfolio of work for large-scale commercial clients, including hotels and major retailers, this team offers a collaborative and supportive environment where estimators are empowered to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle the full estimating process from lead generation to final bid submission.
- Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Generate and respond to bid invitations, working with an established GC network while also developing new client relationships.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes, especially for lighting and gear packages.
- Prepare and submit detailed proposals to general contractors.
- Participate in preconstruction meetings and project walkthroughs, providing context and insights from the bidding process.
- Build and maintain relationships through networking opportunities, such as client entertainment and industry events.
- Conduct site visits when necessary (in-town job walks provided with company vehicle; occasional overnight travel to Arizona or other locations, typically once a month or less).




- Work primarily on commercial projects valued between $600K and $800K, with a growth goal toward projects exceeding $1M.
- Collaborate with the existing estimating team to review performance, share strategies, and refine processes.

Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial electrical estimating.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, electrical systems, and construction practices.
- Proficiency in PlanSwift (takeoffs), Accubid, and Bluebeam preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial project bidding standards and vendor relations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
- Stable work history with demonstrated tenure in prior roles.

Preferred Experience

- Background in project management or construction management.
- Established relationships in the commercial electrical or construction industry.
- Experience with design-build projects.
- Base salary up to $100K
- Commission on sales (structure based on experience level).
- Quarterly profit-sharing bonus program, with annual increases.
- Company vehicle for job walks and site visits.
