About the Role:

As a Spanish Teacher for Adult Non-Native Speakers in Lima, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging and effective Spanish language lessons tailored to the needs and proficiency levels of our adult learners. Your primary goal will be to foster a supportive and interactive learning environment where students can develop their Spanish language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

All classes will take place on-site in Lima during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

**Please note that this position is not yet funded. We are seeking applicants for an anticipated future position.

Responsibilities:

- Develop comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the curriculum objectives and student learning outcomes.
- Facilitate dynamic and interactive Spanish language classes, incorporating a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles.
- Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, assignments,



and performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support their language development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and cultural exchange among students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development, program improvement, and assessment initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish language.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Spanish language, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Previous experience in teaching Spanish to adult non-native speakers, preferably in a classroom setting.
- Strong understanding of language teaching methodologies and strategies, including communicative language teaching (CLT) and proficiency-based instruction.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse learners and create a supportive learning environment.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and creativity in lesson planning and delivery.
- Certification in Spanish language teaching is a plus.
- Located in Lima and able to commute for in-person teaching.
