Remote | Accounting - Close & Reporting

Own the close, not just a piece of it.

Take end-to-end responsibility for month-end close and financial reporting for high-growth US companies, while building a clear path toward Accounting Lead or Accounting Manager opportunities.

This is not a task-execution role. You will be expected to own outcomes, exercise judgment, improve how the work gets done, and communicate directly with senior stakeholders.

What you'll own

- Own month-end and year-end close across multiple entities or client engagements.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Produce accurate management and US GAAP financial reporting on tight close timelines.
- Investigate unusual movements, resolve accounting issues, and explain the financial-statement impact.
- Maintain audit-ready schedules and improve close processes, controls, and documentation.
- Communicate directly with US finance leaders and proactively surface risks or dependencies.

What makes you a fit

- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with meaningful ownership of the close.
- Hands-on experience supporting US companies, US entities, or international businesses reporting under US GAAP is strongly preferred.




- Strong accrual-accounting fundamentals; candidates with transferable IFRS experience and practical US-client exposure may also be considered.
- Experience preparing or reviewing the balance sheet, income statement, and cash-flow support.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or a comparable ERP.
- Clear written and verbal English and confidence working independently with US stakeholders.

The seniority bar

- You already operate beyond task execution and can independently own a meaningful accounting workstream from start to finish.
- You review quality, identify risks, investigate root causes, and resolve issues before they require senior escalation.
- You can assess non-routine situations, document your reasoning, and recommend an appropriate accounting treatment or next step.
- You communicate directly and credibly with US finance leaders, auditors, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders.

What success looks like

- Close is completed accurately and on schedule with fewer late adjustments.
- Reconciliations and supporting schedules remain complete, current, and audit-ready.
- Stakeholders receive clear explanations of material movements and open accounting matters.
