Solutions Architect – Americas
Why choose Scitara?
You’ll work in a fast-growing lab informatics market [projected to grow 50-70% over the next 5 years] at the exact moment artificial intelligence (AI) is being layered onto scientific data workflows – meaning your work directly shapes how scientific labs around the world adopt this next technological wave.
About the Role
The Solutions Architect – Americas supports the general Scitara customer team, providing leadership in uncovering customer needs and proposing solutions based on the DLX product stack. This highly visible role will utilize your expertise in laboratory and data science along with your skills in organizing and engaging potential and existing customers. You will work in collaboration with Scitara’s sales, product engineering, strategy, services, delivery, and marketing teams.
You’ll also be a hands-on translator between AI capability and scientific reality – helping customers understand not just what Scitara’s AI agents can do, but how they solve the specific data and workflow problems that surface in R&D; and QC labs.
What It Takes
You’re passionate about solving the long-standing challenge of inefficient laboratory technology – and you know how to bring that passion into the room. Working closely with Scitara’s sales and partner management teams, you’ll apply your technical expertise and consulting instincts to build customer confidence in the DLX platform. You lead through process, collaborate effectively across functions,
and find genuine satisfaction in helping others succeed.
To thrive in this role, you bring professionalism, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and a disciplined approach to managing customer-driven initiatives. Above all, you earn trust through deep subject matter expertise and a leadership style that puts people at ease.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Architect, maintain, and deliver demo capabilities for Scitara’s AI agent and lab automation capabilities – translating agentic and automation features into concrete before/after scenarios for R&D; and QC workflows, explicitly mapping each feature to an identified customer pain point.
- Work directly with the Sales teams to document and learn functional and technical requirements for customers and partners.
- Maintain a deep understanding of Scitara’s products and their applicability to scientific data integration, along with how AI can be utilized for operational and scientific improvement.
- Own customer value discovery and articulation by identifying business challenges, quantifying impact, aligning success criteria, and positioning solutions.
- Serve as a key member or trusted advisor for customers requiring a Pilot/Proof-of-Concept, including agentic AI pilots.
- Develop, maintain, and educate customers in the competitive solution landscape.
- Review or support Statements of Work to ensure alignment of customer needs with Scitara work plans.
- Collaborate with Strategy, Product, and Engineering teams to translate customer feedback – especially feedback on AI features – into product roadmap input.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education
- 10+ years’ experience in a customer-facing role in lab technology, understanding R&D; and QC lab processes and data flows, with experience in lab information management systems (LIMS), electronic lab notebooks (ELNs), and Chromatography Data Systems (CDS).
- Demonstrated scientific problem-solving experience: a background in tackling real scientific problems, not just presenting technology around them. Prior role as a bench scientist, lab manager, or applications scientist strongly preferred.
- Proficient presenting/demonstrating technology solutions, including AI-driven and agent-based capabilities, to scientific and technology leaders and managers.
- Leadership experience with demonstrated cross-functional success.
- Possess an understanding of life sciences technology validation processes and deliverables.
- Excellent communication, listening, presentation, and writing skills.
- Interest in current business challenges, products, and go-to-market, especially the growing role of AI in scientific processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong consultative customer approach, including listening, questioning, and persuasion.
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed personality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, results-oriented culture.
- Proficiency in Python or JavaScript for scientific data workflow development and automation.
- Knowledge of data engineering approaches to standardize and integrate scientific data, including how AI/ML models consume and benefit from that standardized data.
- Proficiency in AWS and networking technologies. Prior AWS or other technical certifications are welcomed.
- Experience working with a CRM system (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree or above in a scientific or computer science discipline.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (20-30%) as business needs require.
