Job Summary

As a Manager, you are responsible for providing clients with timely, accurate, and efficient processing of all entitlement events and associated daily entries, ensuring investors/clients are notified and/or paid as appropriate, managing operational risk, developing the team's operational capabilities, and optimizing operational efficiency to support senior management of Custody Malaysia in continuous development of an efficient and effective organization with a high focus on risk mitigation.
Responsibilities
Lead the team in ensuring clients receive timely, accurate, and efficient processing of all corporate action events and associated daily entries, and ensure clients/investors are notified and/or paid correctly and on time.
Deliver on operational effectiveness by managing team performance against goals and providing continuous improvement ideas.
Manage risks by proactively identifying potential issues and mitigating them, striving for satisfactory audit results and training the team continuously on accurate operational procedures.
Build a high‐performance team by hiring, training and developing them to deliver on overall operational goals; provide ongoing feedback and conduct formal performance reviews on a semi‐annual basis; ensure business recovery planning is conducted and tested regularly.
Provide strong leadership through promotion of values,



communicating high‐quality standards and developing yourself against the leadership model.
Lead by example and meet all deliverables as requested by senior management.
Manage resources to ensure that all daily tasks are completed and that high‐quality BAU deliverables are met within deadlines.
Leverage operational data (e.g., metrics, KPI, tracker logs) to drive business decisions and team performance.
Ensure all client inquiries and concerns are responded to in an accurate, professional and timely manner.
Build strong relationships with business partners and stakeholders globally in corporate actions.
Ensure that comprehensive up‐to‐date operating procedures are maintained and are easily accessible to the processing teams.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent.
Experience: 6–10 years of relevant experience.
At least 5 years of experience working in custody back‐office or middle‐office asset servicing operations.
Knowledge of SWIFT messages.
Experience in managing the end‐to‐end process of corporate action or income.
Extensive experience leading a team of 5 or more, or a record of grooming multiple junior staff in their careers.
Required Skills

Demonstrated strong emotional intelligence, professionalism, and maturity in handling conflicting issues between stakeholders and/or team members.
Demonstrated strong business & commercial acumen.
Demonstrated strong critical thinking and decision making.

Working hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Malaysia time).
