About the Role We're looking for a Mid-Level Data Engineer with 4–6 years of professional experience designing, building, and optimizing modern data platforms. In this role, you'll develop scalable data pipelines and data solutions using Databricks and AWS while collaborating closely with data architects, analysts, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data products.

Experience with Unity Catalog, Lakeflow, and modern data lakehouse architectures is essential. Databricks certifications are highly preferred. Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines using Databricks.

Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows on AWS.

Implement and manage data governance using Unity Catalog.

Build and orchestrate data workflows using Lakeflow.

Optimize data models and processing performance for scalability and cost efficiency.

Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to deliver trusted data products.

Ensure data quality, reliability, and observability across data pipelines.

Troubleshoot production data issues and implement long-term solutions.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

Work in Agile teams and collaborate across technical and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

4–6 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.

Strong hands-on experience with Databricks.

Experience building data pipelines on AWS.

Experience with Unity Catalog for data governance and access management.

Experience using Lakeflow for data orchestration and pipeline development.

Strong SQL skills and proficiency with Python or Scala.

Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.

Familiarity with Spark and distributed data processing.

Experience working with Git and collaborative development workflows.

Understanding of data modeling and lakehouse architecture.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Good written and verbal English communication skills (B2–C1).

Qualifications

Databricks Data Engineer Associate or Professional Certification.

Experience with Delta Lake.

Experience building streaming solutions with Structured Streaming or Kafka.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data platforms.

Experience with data quality and monitoring tools.
