About JGM Innovation

JGM Innovation is an early-stage nonprofit using data and technology to change children's lives in Peru. We build a data intelligence platform that turns information on socioeconomic risk, workforce trends, and automation & AI into actionable insights helping community institutions, and partners direct resources where children and families in Peru need them most.

The Role

Our technology interns can build applications. What we need are the right problems to solve. In this role, you'll draw on your education experience to identify real challenges facing children and teachers in Peru, shape them into application ideas, and write the requirements our intern team builds from. The requirements you write become live products. You will:

Identify real problems and needs facing students and teachers in Peru that technology can help solve

Propose and prioritize application ideas grounded in classroom and educational realities

Translate those ideas into clear, structured requirements our technology interns can build from

Collaborate with the founder and intern team to review builds and refine features as they come to life





Be a thought partner on how our products can deepen our impact for children in Peru

What we're looking for

Professional experience in education: teaching, school administration, curriculum design, EdTech, or a related field

Enough comfort with technology to describe what an application should do. No coding required; you'll define the "what," our interns handle the "how"

Someone who can turn a fuzzy problem into a clear, written set of requirements

Strong communication skills; Spanish/English bilingual a plus A genuine connection to our mission. We're especially excited to work with educators from the Peruvian community and diaspora who want to give back

Reliable availability of +4 hours per week for an initial 4-month commitment
