We focus on providing our Intake Team with mentorship, tools, and systems to ensure they can make a meaningful impact in a client’s life by supporting their journey in accessing ABA therapy successfully.
About The Role
This role is responsible for managing and overseeing a client’s full journey through the ABA care process – specifically this includes: developing a strong working relationship with the family, verifying and explaining complex benefits information, responsibility for the initial and ongoing treatment authorizations process, and explaining and accepting payments for patient responsibility amounts.
This role will serve as one of the main points of contact for clients undergoing treatment to support them in getting the care they need.
- Accurately complete complex insurance benefit verifications on an ongoing basis
- Communicate complex insurance benefit information and patient responsibility balances with families and caregivers
- Track patient responsibility balances; communicate these balances to families and accept payment in a timely manner
- Complete the full Initial Assessment and Ongoing Service authorization process, including gathering required documents and timely submission to insurance
- Serve as the patient’s main liaison during their time in treatment
- Maintain a timely, accurate, and updated online database of all activities
- Maintain consistent communication with BCBAs, Operations Team, Clinical Directors, and other involved parties on status of client and referral requests
- Meet required KPIs regarding timely submission of authorization requests and patient satisfaction scores
- Answer incoming calls, including but not limited to outside provider referrals and client inquiry requests as needed
- Participate in and contribute to the improvement of operational performance
- Perform all duties with the organizational mission, vision,
and goal top of mind
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; college experience or degree preferred
- 1-2 years of insurance verification and authorization experience required
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- 1-2 years customer service experience required
