About the role

Technician - Blasting provides field support with a strong emphasis on blast design and EBS support.

What you will be doing

Supports SHEC initiatives where appropriate

Writes incident reports

Develops Customer Technical Relationships

Delivers contracted TS commitments

Represents Customer needs and business development opportunity identification

Analyses blast measurements and assesses performance against a baseline

Introduces new products and services

Develops case studies

Participates in complex misfire investigation

Drives Product application stewardship

Trains and accredits customers in Orica TBT's, courses, products and systems

Trains and mentors Operations personnel, Technicians and Graduates

What you will bring

With tertiary or technical qualification – up to 2 years experience post qualification

Without formal qualifications – up to 10 years of administrative experience, or allocation of work to operators

Role dependent

Technical &/or functional business system applications required for tasks (e.g. SAP, SF, Concur, analytics/visualisation tools, engineering software, etc.)

Role dimensions

Span of control: Headcount – X Direct
Sphere of influence: Team / Discipline level SME

Travel requirements: Role dependent

Your qualifications

Insert tertiary qualification required for role (e.g. Accountant must have a tertiary degree in an Accounting discipline, an Engineer must have a tertiary degree in an Engineering discipline) OR Technical qualification / legislative / SHES certification.
