About the Role

The Junior Web Specialist – Content & Frontend will support the web team in building, maintaining, and optimizing website content across our platforms. The role focuses on creating pages in WordPress, managing digital content, and ensuring consistency, quality, and SEO best practices across the site. This is an opportunity for someone detail-oriented, proactive, and interested in growing their skills in web development. The role starts with content and website management and offers a clear path to develop frontend skills, working with modern technologies such as React as part of the team’s evolution.

Key Responsibilities

- Website Content & Page Creation: Update and maintain website pages using WordPress, following existing templates and layouts.
- Build simple pages from scratch as needed, ensuring structure, consistency, and responsiveness.
- Apply basic SEO practices, including image optimization (naming, compression, alt text) and proper heading structure.
- Create and manage internal and external links across pages. Implement redirects (e.g., 301) when required.
- Support the team with small frontend-related tasks as needed.
- Learn and gradually contribute to frontend development using modern technologies (e.g., React).
- Collaborate with developers and designers to implement improvements on the website.





Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree).
- Entry-level role; prior professional experience not required – internships, academic projects, or personal work are highly valued.
- Basic understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS), preferably WordPress, and experience working with templates, plugins, and content editors (e.g., Gutenberg, Elementor).
- Experience using version control systems (Git); work with repositories, create branches, and submit pull requests.
- Understanding of basic web concepts: page structure, responsiveness, and cross-browser behavior.
- Basic SEO principles: headings, metadata, image optimization.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in handling content and layouts.
- Comfortable with content in English (reading and understanding).
- Organized, proactive, and willing to learn new tools and technologies.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.

Nice to Have

- Basic knowledge of React or interest in frontend development.
- Basic understanding of PHP or WordPress backend.
- Exposure to databases (e.g., MySQL) or backend concepts.
- Experience using design tools like Figma.
- Basic experience with SEO tools or analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console).
