Upsilon General are seeking a freelance SCRA and CRA to assist with a planned ophthalmology medical device study with a single site in Peru.

This is an investigator initiated study and the project will involve support with local submissions, site set-up, patient enrolment and monitoring over a 2-year period, estimated at 0.2-0.3 FTE (8-12 hours p/week).

As the device is already CE-marked, we don't foresee many issues with the submission process, and once enrolled, we are assuming one IMV per month.

Key information:

Position: Freelance SCRA and CRA

FTE: 0.2-0.3 fte (slightly higher in set-up period)

Indication: Ophthalmology medical device

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

- Local submissions and site set-up
- Conduct monitoring visits (remote visits if/when required)
- Site management activities
- Ensure timely reporting, communication with Data Manager (DM) and Project Manager (PM),



and transparent issue escalation.
- Maintain Investigator Site File (ISF) and Site Master File (SMF) completeness.
- Organize site in CTMS (e.g., updating milestones).

Experience

- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Willing to travel to site for monitoring visits.
- Experience with ophthalmology and/or device studies beneficial
- Knowledge of Omani regulations
- Proactive mindset, adaptable to less structured environments and new systems
- Comfortable with complex, multi-study programs.
- Autonomous in issue resolution with transparent escalation.
- Problem solving and proactive attitude
- Team-oriented, solution-focused, and committed to collaboration
