Base pay range

$110,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

As the project controls analyst, you will be responsible for controlling the scope, cost and schedule for a portfolio of large construction projects. Under general direction, you will exercise your judgment and be responsible for all aspects of project governance. Projects typically have a multi-year duration, and some may be high profile. The position requires skills in managing cross-functional, multi-location project teams using cutting edge project management methodologies.
Your Day-to-Day Activities:
Plan and Organize

- Input financial forecast data and provide analysis using software like SAP and Primavera P6
- Create and maintain project schedules— define activities, work breakdown structures, predecessors, successors, resources, and baselines
- Support project manager in preparation of business cases, contingency releases, and management of project budgets within established project governance rules
- Develop, monitor, and update cash flow projections

Analyze

- Analyze and report on variances for project cost and schedule
- Create and maintain Excel-like spreadsheets for reporting and analysis
- Measure the progress of activities and milestones in project schedules

Execute

- Assist with the execution and administration of contracts,



process change orders, and validate and perform accruals
- Support meetings or calls with project team members and stakeholders
- Support project manager in holding team members accountable to action items

Communicate

- Prepare and present timely updates to project manager and analyst supervisor
- Keep all stakeholders informed of project developments through meeting minutes, action logs, and status reports

Manage Risk

- Support the project team in identifying, resolving, and tracking risks
- Escalate risks and issues to find ways to keep projects on schedule and on budget

You’ll be prepared for this job if you have…

- A Bachelor’s degree
- Three plus years of work experience
- Experience with project scheduling and financial analysis
- Good verbal and written communication skills

You’ll stand out if you have…

- Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
- Experience with SAP, NetSuite, or Sage
- Experience with Unifier or Project Wise project management software
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
- A fondness for taking ownership and a willingness to lead
- A strong commitment to quality and attention to detail
- A passion for training
