Cybersecurity Specialist Professional Responsibilities

Security Infrastructure Management: Implement, configure, and maintain cybersecurity solutions including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, endpoint protection, and secure access technologies.

Security Monitoring: Monitor security events and alerts using security monitoring tools to detect potential threats, anomalies, or vulnerabilities.

n

Incident Response: Investigate, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents to ensure rapid containment and resolution.

Vulnerability Management: Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities to reduce security risks.

n

Access Control Management: Manage identity and access controls, including authentication mechanisms, user permissions, and privileged access policies.

Security Policy Implementation: Support the implementation and enforcement of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and security best practices.

Risk Assessment: Identify cybersecurity risks and propose mitigation measures to strengthen the organization's security posture.

Security Compliance: Support compliance with corporate security standards, industry regulations, and cybersecurity frameworks.

Documentation: Maintain updated documentation of security configurations, security incidents, and remediation procedures.

Site Security Support: Provide cybersecurity support for IT infrastructure in mining or industrial operational environments.

Network Security: Solid knowledge of network security technologies including firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation,



and secure connectivity solutions.

Security Monitoring: Experience with security monitoring tools and event analysis platforms such as SIEM systems.

Threat Detection: Knowledge of threat detection techniques, attack vectors, and incident response procedures.

Vulnerability Management: Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and remediation processes.

Endpoint Security: Knowledge of endpoint protection platforms and security management tools.

Access Management: Experience with identity and access management (IAM) systems and authentication technologies.

Industrial Cybersecurity: Basic knowledge of cybersecurity considerations for industrial or operational technology (OT) environments used in mining operations.

Security Standards: Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.

Security Certifications: Preferably CompTIA Security+, CEH, IAM or equivalent cybersecurity certifications.
