About this Role

The Technical Assistance Associate will play a crucial role in executing the Technical Assistance (TA) Facility for Deetken Impact’s climate action fund. The candidate will engage with climate-focused companies and undertake projects across prominent sectors like green finance and sustainable agriculture in Latin America and the Caribbean. This role encompasses the design, implementation, and monitoring of TA activities that bolster investment readiness, enhance impact and business performance, and support gender and climate-responsive practices. Working closely with investment and portfolio management teams, the associate will employ strategic thinking and hands‑on execution in aiding companies with investment readiness and advisory services.

Responsibilities





- Design, scope, and implement TA activities for companies aligned with the Fund’s objectives.
- Collaborate with the investment team to integrate TA findings into investment decision-making and due diligence.
- Monitor TA implementation progress and results.
- Support impact measurement, learning, and reporting on gender, climate, ESG, and financial outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with TA facility funder requirements and facilitate knowledge‑sharing through case studies.
- Collaborate with company leadership, consultants, and partners for effective TA delivery.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree a plus.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in TA, impact investing, or related roles.
- Knowledge of climate adaptation, gender equality, and ESG risk mitigation.
- Experience with investment funds, SMEs in climate sectors, or financial institutions in the region.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
