Our opportunity
We are looking for our new Depot Supervisor in Paita, Peru.
Responsabilities:
- Maintains a positive relationship while working closely with the staff to build a strong team through coaching, goal setting,
and constructive feedback.- Researches and recommends best practices that can be followed.- Ensures staff is focused on customer service and moving all loads legally within guidelines.- Builds strong working relationships with local carriers to ensure that Maersk is a cost leader.- Works directly with LOC team to address equipment concerns, in particular where customer needs are not being covered.- Works closely with operations, customers, trucking companies, and customer service to ensure movement of containers to the customer’s satisfaction.- Builds a strong working relationship with the local terminal management staff in order to ensure we achieve the most efficient movement of cargo.- Monitors, records and reports cost savings, unbudgeted expenses, service failures and empty equipment inventory to department manager, along with suitable recommendations.
Requeriments:
- 3 years of experience in similar positions- 2 years of experience leading teams- Experience working in shipping lines, maritime terminals,
logistics operators or ports.- Bachelor's degree in administration, industrial engineer or similar.- MS office: Intermediate- English: Intermediate- Power BI (desirable)- Availability to work in Paita.
